Fighting guns with guns?
In response to Mr. Leonhardt's letter "A chance in crisis," my preferences would be:
1. Students not being able to get a weapon in the first place.
2. My children's teacher not be able or willing to shoot or kill anyone.
The corollary to his letter is all teachers should be armed and ready to kill. In a "reducio ad absurdum," some of us who were less than well behaved might have been shot rather than disciplined by a disgruntled teacher.
I feel it better to restrict the instrument than to counter with yet another of the same.
