Prospect division head appointed

Christina Athanasopoulos, an Advanced Placement psychology teacher at John Hersey High School, has been appointed as Prospect High School's Division Head of World Language and Social Science for the 2018-19 school year.

Athanasopoulos began her career in 1997 as a psychology teacher at Homewood-Flossmoor High School. She joined Northwest Suburban High School District 214 three years later as a social science teacher, and later implemented the Advanced Placement psychology program for the district.

She is an affiliate professor at North Park University and has been a college board consultant for Advanced Placement psychology since 2001.
