Authorities: 2 dead following fire in southwestern Indiana
CHRISNEY, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a man and woman have died following a fire in southwestern Indiana.
The Spencer County Coroner's Office says the bodies have been tentatively identified following Thursday's fire near Chrisney, but names weren't immediately released. Autopsies were expected to be completed Friday.
Chrisney Fire Chief Kent Groves tells the Dubois County Herald that a farmer saw that the home was on fire and reported it to authorities.
Groves said the victims were found on opposite ends of the home. Foul play isn't suspected, but the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Indiana State Fire Marshal's office.
