Nazareth cruises past Breese Central in 3A semifinal

Junior Annie Stritzel scored a game-high 29 points to lead Nazareth to a 58-25 win over Breese Central in a Class 3A semifinal Friday at the state girls basketball finals at Redbird Arena in Normal.

Alyssa Geary added 15 points for the Roadrunners (31-2), who will meet Peoria Richwoods on Saturday for the state championship.

Faye Meissner led Breese Central (29-4) with 13 points. The Cougars take on Glenbard South Saturday for third place.
