Police: Missing Des Plaines man found safe in Chicago

An autistic man who went missing from Des Plaines has been found.

Des Plaines police say Brandon Young, 36, was found in good health at a Walgreens in Chicago. He was being returned home Thursday afternoon, police said.

Young was reported missing from a group home near Golf and Rand roads about 6:30 a.m. He apparently was able to open a kitchen window, squeeze through and run north from the home, police said.
