Charges filed in fatal November Naperville crash

A 28-year-old Millington man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash in November near the intersection of Fort Hill Drive and 75th Street in Naperville.

Naperville police said Steven R. Holmes is charged with aggravated use of an electronic communication device and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Police said Holmes was driving a 2017 black Subaru Impreza east on 75th Street toward Book Road at 12:01 a.m. Nov. 21 when it struck 26-year-old Ramiro Fonseca of Itasca, who was changing a tire on his 2004 Kia Optima. Fonseca was taken to Edward Hospital where he died.
