Arlington Heights mom to give keynote speech at prayer breakfast
An Arlington Heights mother will speak in Rolling Meadows this weekend about how she turned to her faith after her daughter was murdered.
Barb Mangi will keynote the 10th Community Prayer Breakfast, scheduled from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday at the Community Church of Rolling Meadows. Last October, Mangi's self-help memoir, "Reawakening: Return of Lightness and Peace after My Daughter's Murder," was published. Her 25-year-old daughter, Dana, was killed by a friend in a Wrigleyville apartment in 2007.
The program will also include music, time of prayer, folding of the flag by the police color guard, and breakfast. Tickets are $10 and available by calling (847) 255-5510 or emailing myccrm@yahoo.com.
