Deacon holds mission trip fundraiser in Arlington Heights

Deacon Don Grossnickle of Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church is hosting a dinner fundraiser this weekend to support his upcoming medical mission trip to Uganda.

The $75-per-person event at 6 p.m. Sunday, at Joe & Giuseppe Restaurant, 952 N. Arthur Ave. in Arlington Heights, includes a full-course meal and entertainment by singer Wayne Messmer.

Grossnickle has been working with Microfinancing Partners Africa to help provide medicine and medical services to those affected by malaria. He will visit Uganda's Nakifuma and Bikira villages April 7-15.
