County clerk is abusing her position

At the McHenry County Board meeting Jan. 11, County Clerk Mary McClellan announced a massive information campaign to inform citizens of new voting locations. But when a board member rightly suggested that any mailings or print ads from the clerk should not include her name and picture, because she is on the ballot as a judge candidate, McClellan took offense.

If you get a mailing from McClellan where her name and picture are prominently featured, remember that it is not her campaign that is footing the bill; instead, we taxpayers are.

When I vote for judge, I'll be voting for someone with integrity and judicial experience. It won't be a vote for McClellan.
