Mayhorn, Buffalo Grove sink Wauconda

Buffalo Grove 70, Wauconda 58: Caleb Mayhorn drained six 3s and finished with a game-high 21 points to help Buffalo Grove's boys basketball team to a 70-58 victory over host Wauconda in nonconference play Monday.

The Bison (15-9) opened up with a 28-point first quarter and finished with 20 in the fourth.

Jack Vaselaney added 11 points for Buffalo Grove, which won for the fourth straight time.

Donovan Carter made three 3s and joined teammate Andrew Nolan in scoring a team-best 16 points for Wauconda (9-17). Nolan also contributed 4 rebounds and 4 steals.
