Police: Man greeted cops while smoking marijuana cigarette

A suspected drug dealer was smoking a marijuana cigarette when he greeted Aurora cops knocking at his door this week, police said.

Aurora police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at an apartment in the 2000 block of Fox Pointe Drive at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

When they arrived, Antuan D. Walls, 22, opened the door while smoking the joint, police said in a news release Friday. The apartment leaseholder let officers inside to investigate, and they reported seeing narcotics in plain view.

Investigators secured a search warrant and seized about 50 grams of crack cocaine, a .45-caliber handgun and $1,609 in cash.

Walls, who lives in the 1800 block of Sedgegrass Trail, is charged with unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.
