Former Chicago cop opens Geico office in Gurnee

Geico insurance company opened a new local office at 6641 Grand Ave., Unit B, in Gurnee.

Howard Greer will lead a team of two licensed agents at the new Lake County location.

"We are well-positioned to serve customers residing in both Illinois and Wisconsin," Greer said. "As the area continues to grow, we look forwarding to bringing our competitive rates to insure the entire Fox Lake area lifestyle."

Greer served with the Chicago Police Department for more than 25 years before working in the insurance industry. Now with 10 years of experience, he and his staff - Maria Aguilar and Brendan Warner - can help customers with auto insurance, and coverage for homes, condos and renters. For those who like to spend time enjoying Lake County's many waterways, Geico staff members also can assist with boat insurance, RV and motorcycle coverage.
