Author of 'Sears Homes' book coming to Palatine library

Author Rebecca Hunter will be at Palatine Public Library District from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, to discuss the history of mail-order homes sold through Sears, Roebuck and Co. catalog.

Her book, "Sears Homes: The Mail Order House Phenomenon," which covers the history of the homes found in Palatine and other nearby railroad towns, will be available for purchase.
