Barrington pulls way from CL Central
Barrington's boys basketball team started slowly but finished with a flourish in Tuesday's 60-37 victory over Crystal Lake Central.
The Broncos held an 8-6 lead after the first quarter in nonconference play but finished with a 21-point fourth quarter to win going away for their third straight triumph.
Junior guard Mark Johnson had 6 of his game-high 15 point in that fourth quarter, during which six other players from Barrington (14-4) scored.
Jack Reinhard finished with 13 points, which included 5-for-6 at the foul line, for the Broncos. Jake Parson had 8 points and Jason Boock 7.
Leyden 59, Argo 36: The host Eagles improved to 9-10 by snapping a three-game skid with a nonconference victory.
