Profiles in Excellence event in North Chicago

The 35th annual Profiles in Excellence, a tribute to African-American history makers, will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11 at the Greenbelt Cultural Center, 1215 Green Bay Road, North Chicago. This year's theme focuses on the Illinois Bicentennial (1818-2018) and features the important role of African Americans in Lake County's history. The event is free and open to all ages.
