Woman, son identified as victims of house fire near Goshen

GOSHEN, Ind. (AP) - Authorities have identified the two people who were found dead following a rural house fire in northern Indiana earlier this month.
The Elkhart County Coroner's Office says the fire early on Jan. 7 near Goshen killed 61-year-old Donna Schneider and her son, 44-year-old Joel Schneider.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit and the Indiana State Fire Marshal are investigating the fire. A cause has not been released.
Crews from four fire departments worked to extinguish the blaze.
