Herbicide workshop Saturday for Libertyville Township volunteers

An annual herbicide workshop for volunteers will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Libertyville Township office, 359 Merrill Court, Libertyville.

Participants will learn about safety, equipment, methods, and more, to earn a state certificate to apply herbicides on invasive plants. The event is open to volunteers who help at monthly restoration workdays at Oak Openings, Liberty Prairie, Donnelley Prairies and Oaks, and other Libertyville Township Open Space District properties.
