Aurora man sent to prison for dealing drugs
An Aurora man who pleaded guilty last year to planning to deliver marijuana will spend five years in prison.
Jamari M. Suggs, 27, was arrested on Oct. 10, 2016, after police pulled him over for having an expired registration and found two plastic bags containing 117 grams of marijuana. He had two previous convictions for cocaine delivery and another for cocaine possession.
He pleaded guilty to felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver on Oct. 12, 2017, and Associate Judge David Kliment sentenced him on Jan. 4, according to a news release issued by the Kane County state's attorney's office on Tuesday.
