Forest district may buy more land

The Lake County Forest Preserve District's planning committee will meet Monday to discuss the proposed purchase of additional land for the Wilmot Woods Forest Preserve near Libertyville. The nearly 12-acre property is along Oak Spring Road west of St. Mary's Road. It's vacant. If the purchase is approved by the forest board, the land will cost the district $55,000. The planning committee meeting is set for 1 p.m. at the district office, 1899 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville.
