Harvest Christian wins opener at Marengo

Jack Nohava scored 20 points and Logan Jones added 19 Saturday to lead the Harvest Christian boys basketball team to a 57-46 win over Sycamore in the opening round of the E.C. Nichols Holiday Tournament at Marengo.

Dylan Lockwood added 10 points for the Lions (7-2), who won their fourth straight game and advanced to play Rockford Christian at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the quarterfinals.

Barrington 68, Cary-Grove 46: Beau Frericks led Cary-Grove with 10 points in the Trojans' loss in second round action of the Hinkle Holiday Classic at Jacobs. Frank Jakubicek added 9 points for C-G (5-5).
