Fire in a Deerfield single-family home
A two-story, single-family home in Deerfield caught fire Saturday morning.
At 11:30 a.m., the Deerfield Fire Department was dispatched to the house near Meadow Lane and Telegraph Road. No one was injured and the house was unoccupied while it was being remodelled.
Battalion Chief Ken Korber said the attic and second floor suffered "extensive damage" due to the fire. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
