Chicago man charged with shooting teen, man near city bus

CHICAGO (AP) - A 24-year-old Chicago man has been charged with shooting two people, including a 14-year-old boy, near a Chicago Transit Authority bus.

In a news release Friday, police say Keyan Vance is charged with aggravated battery, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon for the Dec. 15 shooting.

The teen was shot in the neck while inside a CTA bus. The 28-year-old man was shot in the foot.

Police say neither vicitim was the intended target. They say the shooting happened during a fight at a nearby gas station on the city's South Side. The boy was hit when the shooter started firing near the CTA bus.

Vance is expected to appear in bond court on Saturday.
