Start 2018 on healthy foot at Fit Fest in Schaumburg

There's no better way to usher in 2018 than sampling Schaumburg Park District's fitness classes.

The New Year Fit Fest is set for 7:30 a.m.-noon, Jan. 6, at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Participants may attend as many fitness classes as they'd like, with classes being offered in 20 and 30-minute intervals. Included in the selection are Indoor Cycling, TRX, Pound, Power Splash and Total Body Strength. The event also features refreshments and a raffle to win fitness-related prizes.

"This is a great way to start 2018," said Charissa Tischhauser, fitness supervisor. "Different classes will be offered so participants may try a variety of fitness formats."

Registration is required. Cost is $8 for residents and $12 for nonresidents.
