Prospect Heights police searching for shooter

Prospect Heights police said Thursday that they are searching for the person who shot a 19-year-old man in the leg Tuesday on the 1100 block of Cove Drive in the Quincy Park neighborhood.

The 19-year-old victim has been released from the hospital. He was shot just before 4:23 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police said the victim told them he was meeting with a person outside residence in Quincy Park when he was lured toward a blue sedan. The shooter pulled out a small-caliber gun, and the victim was wounded during a struggle.
