Hampshire High madrigals perform at holiday party for local seniors club

The Christmas spirit filled the room as the Hampshire-Burlington Senior Citizens Club gathered for their annual holiday party.

There was no chimney so Santa slipped in through a side door, to many Ho Ho Ho's, with a huge pack of surprises for everyone. After checking to be sure no one had been naughty, Santa headed back to the North Pole.

As Santa departed, the guests settled down to a turkey dinner, served by Francine and Gina, and pumpkin pie.

As the tables were cleared, Chris Cherry, choral director at Hampshire High School, arrived with the Madrigal Singers, and proceeded to fill the hall with a beautiful program of Christmas music.

It was a delightful afternoon, and The Hampshire-Burlington Senior Citizens Club extends a most sincere thank you to Santa Claus, to Chris Cherry and his talented singers, as well as to Francine and Gina.

The Hampshire-Burlington Senior Citizens Club meets at 11:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of every month in the Hampshire Township Administration Building, 170 Mill Ave., Hampshire. It's a potluck, so fix your favorite recipe and come join the fun.
