Tax reform will hurt seniors

The new tax reform proposal appears to be anti-middle class and anti-senior in Illinois. The elimination of state and local taxes as a deduction will put many people in a more negative financial situation.

Also, eliminating the medical deduction negatively impacts seniors who usually have more medical problems as they age. Is there anybody out there fighting for the senior population?

Let us not forget that seniors have spending power and voting rights, too. However, our spending power will be diminishing if the present administration has its way. It seems like Trump and his cohorts have little consideration for the middle class.
