Man sought over Sugar Grove shooting
Sugar Grove police are seeking an Indiana man in connection with the shooting Sunday of a worker at a gasoline station on Route 47.
Police released a picture of the suspect, whom they called a 48-year-old last known to live in East Chicago. He is believed to be armed.
Police Chief Patrick Rollins said the suspect entered the station on the 300 block of Sugar Grove Parkway (Route 47) around 3 a.m. Sunday. The employee there and the suspect had a previous relationship that included past domestic disputes, police said.
The suspect shot the woman and caused other injuries, then drove off, police said.
He was last seen in a black 2004 Lexus ES 330 sedan, with Illinois license plate number G641943.
The victim is still hospitalized, police said.
The Kane County Major Crimes Task Force is helping with the investigation.
People with information about the suspect are asked to call 911.
