Lake County offers training to help at-risk youth

Lake County residents working with youth in schools, medical facilities, social services, youth groups and other settings are encouraged to attend a Youth Mental Health First Aid training from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 9, at the Lake County Health Department, 3010 Grand Ave., Waukegan.

Participants will learn to identify and support adolescents ages 12 to 18 who are at risk, display warning signs of mental health problems or substance abuse, or are experiencing a mental health crisis.
