Deadline nearing for Palatine Township gift drive

Palatine Township's annual toy and gift drive for needy children is approaching its collection deadline.

New, unwrapped toys or gifts to be given to less-fortunate Palatine Township children and young adults will be accepted at the township center, 721 S. Quentin Road in Palatine, until noon Monday, Dec. 18. Donations will be taken from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.

"Our township residents are always so generous over the holiday season," said Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson. "This last drive of the year will help to ensure that the holidays are just a little bit brighter for area children who are in need, and might not otherwise be receiving gifts due to financial hardships."
