Enough with the rich guys running for office

In regard to the National Review article, Illinois doesn't need Bruce Rauner. We don't need J.B. Pritzker or Chris Kennedy, either. That goes for the bloviated ego in the White House as well. The last thing our state needs (or country) is another poor little rich boy to tell us how to vote. When will voters quit putting these people in office?

The only reason they run is because they can afford to throw their money away. These people could care less about the mainstream public. They have no idea (and never will have) what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck, to have to stand in the cold in a food pantry line or to have to go without new clothing or shoes.

The amount of wealth they have makes the average person sick. They get on their soapboxes and TV ads and preach how much they're like regular folk when in fact they haven't taken a reality check any day in their privileged lives.

If they really wanted to impress the voters why don't they give up some of their millions to build affordable housing, provide basic employment and the simplest of human needs. Enough already, guys.
