Warren's FBLA students attend leadership conference

Forty-eight members from Warren Township High School joined students from Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, Georgia, Missouri, New Jersey, Nebraska, Kentucky, Florida and Wyoming in the National Fall Leadership Conference held in November in St. Louis.

Members attended workshops and listened to two keynote speakers that strengthened the members' leadership skills, practiced team building, and developed characteristics valuable in the workplace. Warren's members also had the opportunity to attend an Anheuser-Busch InBev Tour. At this tour they were able to hear about the history of the company, tour the grounds, see the Clydesdales, and view the manufacturing and packaging processes.

Warren's FBLA members in attendance were Annabelle Ade, Clark Anderson, Ariel Beal, Lauren Best, Jonathon Brenner, Emily Creators, Yamile Estela, Darsh Gupta, Shivank Gupta, Alexandra Henriques, Rebecca Holtcamp, Thomas Holtcamp, Adam Huq, Akash Jalasutram, Jake Johnson, Shalini Kollo, Lahari Kolli, Evan Leden, Andrew Long, Jessamyn Lopez, Kate McClory, Nihad Mokkath, Brittany Morey, Esteban Padilla, Sarah Parmar, Simran Patel, Julia Paukert, Jakara Peterson-Perry, Kashyap Ramachandrula, Veeshva Rana, Eric Rapanan, Brian Rapanan, Olivia Rodriguez, Jullie Salgado, Rutvik Sayankar, Caroline Sharpe, Yesh Seth. Nisha Shiroor, JiJi Steinlein, Morgan Suchomel, Snehitha Talugula, Sahil Tipurana, Cynthia Tsarpalas, Sydney Ugwa, Joshua Vondracek, Ifra Waris, Meichel Anna Yoincgo and Krista Zimmer. They were joined by advisers Jessica Beck, Chris Mason, Steve Vranek and Kelly Wilkerson.

Warren Township High School was given the Super Sweeps badge at the conference for completing a series of activities within their chapter. Snehitha Talugula who is the northern area and state parliamentarian, represented the Warren Township Chapter and did an outstanding job speaking at the Illinois State board meeting alongside her officer team.

Warren Township High School District 121 is a comprehensive four-year high school with an enrollment of approximately 4,100 students. The school district covers more than 50 square miles and includes all or part of Beach Park, Gages Lake, Grandwood Park, Grayslake, Gurnee, Millburn, Old Mill Creek, Park City, Third Lake, Wadsworth, Waukegan and Wildwood.
