Warren-Newport Public Library in Gurnee seeking submissions for writing contest

Warren-Newport Public Library in Gurnee is seeking submissions for the 25th annual Friends of the Library Creative Writing Contest.

Writers young and not-so-young are invited to submit works of original short fiction, poetry or both.

There are four age groups: grades 3, 4 and 5; grades 6, 7 and 8; high school; and adult. First place wins $50, second place wins $30 and third place wins $20.
