Celebrate the miracle of Christmas and the Christ child's birth

The faithful are welcome to the preparation and celebration of the miracle of the Christ child's birth at St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee and St. Mary in Gilberts.

"By centering on Christ, let us strengthen our families, parish and community by gathering together this Christmas for the peace and tranquillity of Confession and Holy Mass," said Father Matthew DeBlock, pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Church and St. Mary-Gilberts.

In preparation of Christmas, the Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession) will be offered at St. Catherine of Siena Church following its regular schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 to 7:50 a.m.; Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m.; Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. until finished and 3:15 to 4 p.m. and at St. Mary, Gilberts on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m.

The Vigil of Christmas - Christmas Eve on Sunday, Dec. 24

• 4 p.m. Mass with Adult Choir Prelude at 3:45 p.m.

• 6 p.m. Mass with Music Prelude at 5:45 p.m.

• Midnight Mass (with incense) with Music Prelude at 11:30 p.m.

The Nativity of the Lord - Christmas Day on Monday, Dec. 25

• No 7:30 a.m. Mass

• 9:30 a.m. Mass with Music Prelude at 9:15 a.m.

• 11:30 a.m. Mass with Music Prelude at 11:15 a.m.

• 9 a.m. (with incense).

Feast of the Solemnity of Mary, Holy Mother of God - at St. Catherine of Siena Church only:

• Monday, Jan. 1, on New Year's Day - 9 a.m. Mass
