Insensitivity on the front page

I am writing to comment on my utter disgust with yesterday's front page headlines. "Teens lead shopping rush," juxtaposed next to "235 killed in attack in Egypt." Photographs of 14-year-old shoppers opposite 14-year-old Abdallah Abdel Nasser, injured in Egypt the same day, witness to horror, murder, changed forever.

The disparity! To me this highlights how egocentric, self-absorbed and greedy we have become. Black Friday is celebrated above Thanksgiving. We celebrate our materialism, our entitlement and our money above all.

I'm disgusted with society and disappointed with your publication. The placement was editorially insensitive. Black Friday having as much importance on the front page as the deadliest attack in Egypt showcases America's insensitivity to world terror and obsession with self gratification.

And just in case you're snickering at my snark, all I bought this weekend was gasoline.
