Enjoy holiday tea times at historic Banta House
The Arlington Heights Historical Museum will be hosting three teas this holiday season in the 110-year-old Banta House, 517 Vail St., Saturday, Dec. 9, and Sunday, Dec. 10.
Doll Tea with Fancy Nancy! is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. Participants have a tour of the museum's historic doll collection and dollhouses in addition to sandwiches and sweets, tea and punch. Dolls are welcome to come to tea, too.
Fancy Nancy Splendiferous Tea will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. Oh la! A fancy tea in the historic Banta House. Dressed fancy, just like Nancy, hear "Fancy Nancy: Splendiferous Christmas" read aloud and enjoy harp music in the parlor. Tea sandwiches and sweets are on the menu, along with hot tea and holiday punch.
Tea at the Museum is scheduled at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. Invite your family and friends to tea in the century old arts and crafts inspired home to enjoy finger sandwiches and sweets accompanied by pots of tea and punch. The halls are decked and the tables are set with linens and silver.
The cost is $25 per person. Children must be 5 years and older and accompanied by a registered, paying adult to attend. Register online at https://apm.activecommunities.com/ahpd by Monday, Dec. 4.

The Arlington Heights Historical Museum collects and preserves significant materials relating to the past and shares them through educational and recreational activities that promote community heritage and pride.
