Abuse and power
The list of men in powerful positions accused of sexually abusing women appears to be growing by the day. Politicians, movie directors, actors and others in prominent positions have been accused of abusing non-consenting women. I am glad these revelations are being made public and that either through the legal system or the court of public opinion, justice will ultimately prevail.
There does appear to be one glaring omission from the growing list of alleged perpetrators … the most powerful man in the country, the president of the United States. Mr. Trump was accused of unwanted sexual contact by 17 women prior to the 2016 presidential election. It was also disclosed during a taped television interview that he admitted to groping women in a 2005 Access Hollywood segment with Billy Bush.
In my opinion, these charges are much more serious than potential collusion with the Russians, and if proven to be true, should be cause for immediate removal from office.
There should be an immediate and thorough investigation to determine if these allegations are true, or if 17 women unknown to each other conspired to make false charges against Mr. Trump.
