2017 Turkey Shoot Golf Tourney Results

Part of the fun and challenge of participating in the annual Turkey Shoot golf tournament at Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses is the unpredictability of the weather. This year, the two days of the tournament illustrated the ups and downs, with driving rain, wind and snow on Saturday and a calm, sunny day on Sunday.

"Of the original 90 players who registered for the Naperbrook Turkey Shoot on Saturday, Nov. 18, 88 came out to the course to play and 75 finished all 9 holes, with the last 3 played in the snow," said Naperbrook's Head Golf Professional Tim Dunn.

Springbrook Golf Course hosted 53 players in the tournament on Sunday, Nov. 19. Winning teams at each course achieved a 9-hole score of 29.

Each player had the option to receive a turkey, or donate the cash equivalent to the Naperville Parks Foundation to support recreation scholarships. Between the two courses, players donated 38 turkeys for a cash equivalent of $456 that will be given to the Foundation.

The tournament was sponsored by Jewel-Osco and Brighton Car Wash.
