Glassblowing demonstrations

Award-winning artist James R. Wilbat's glassblowing studio, 854 Tower Road in the Cairo Industrial Park, Mundelein, will open to the public for five consecutive weekends beginning Saturday, Nov. 18. All ages are welcome to the event featuring glassblowing demonstrations, glass designs not available outside the studio, refreshments and a drawing to win a piece of handblown glass. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 17. The studio also is open Friday, Nov. 24. Visit www.wilbatglass.com for directions and details.
