Palatine Library seeks pet supply donations

Ready to make the world a better place? Choose Kind Service Project encourages all of us to engage in some kind of extra act of kindness to help the community.

Through Nov. 28, Palatine Library needs your donations for a youth project to benefit the Almost Home Foundation, a not-for-profit, 501(c) (3) charitable organization dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned cats and dogs.

The library is asking for donations of gently used T-shirts and new dog/cat supply items such as canned food, dog/cat beds, blankets and kitty litter.

Tweens and teens in the library's "Choose Kind Service Project" Nov. 28 will be re-purposing the donated T-shirts into dog toys for the Almost Home Foundation. A collection bin for donated items will be in the lobby of the Main Library.
