Aurora police seek witnesses to gunfight

The Aurora Police Department is looking for witnesses of a shooting that happened around 3:15 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Kane Street.

Police say two people exchanged gunshots while on foot, each firing multiple rounds at the other. No injuries were reported, but four cars parked on Kane Street and a house were struck, according to police.

In a post on the department's Facebook page, police said there were no descriptions of the suspects. The motive is not known, but police say street gang involvement has not been ruled out.

Anyone who knows anything about the incident can call Aurora police investigators at 630-256-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000. Calls made to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and may qualify the caller for a cash reward if information provided leads to an arrest.
