Naperville Residents Star as Twins in Aurora University's Fall Shakespeare Play

Naperville residents Megan Conrad (Neuqua Valley High School '17) and Jake Diaz (Naperville North High School '17) star as twins in Aurora University's production of "Twelfth Night" by William Shakespeare. Ms. Conrad plays the lead Viola who is shipwrecked on the beaches of the fictional town of Ilyria. She believes she has lost her twin brother, Sebastian (played by Mr. Diaz), at sea so she starts a new life in this new world, dressed as a boy. But Sebastian survived and when he returns chaos and confusion ensues.

This wise, wacky, and weirdly beautiful play is considered by many to be one of Shakespeare's greatest comedies. The Aurora University production is set in a contemporary world inspired by hipsters, music festivals and celebrity culture. It also features live music and open karaoke pre-show and during intermission. Admission is FREE. Performance dates are November 10-11 and November 15-18 at 7:30pm. The play is presented at Aurora University in Perry Theatre at 349 S. Gladstone Ave in Aurora, IL. For additional information please contact artsandideas@aurora.edu or 630-844-4924
