Kiwanis service project to benefit Lazarus House

The St. Charles Kiwanis Club will host this year's visit from Division 10 Governor Terry Cunefare at Hickory Hills Discovery Center on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Instead of a sit-down dinner as in past years, this visit will be a luncheon combined with a service project to provide warm weather clothing for children and families at Lazarus House.

Division 10 Kiwanis Club members will donate new winter items such as hats, scarves, and mittens. They will be sorted, packaged, and distributed that day.

Kiwanis Clubs award grants to area organizations in need, but this service project is a welcome opportunity for hands-on help.
