Abandoning Girl Scouts
The fact that the Boy Scouts of America is now allowing girls to enter is more an act of condescension to the Girl Scout organization than it is an uplifting story of gender equality. If some girls or their parents feel that an all-girl club they entered is not performing to their liking, then they can from within strive to improve it. Do they really want to tacitly besmirch their very own organization by abandoning it in the name of equality?
