Fine art gallery opens in Grayslake

A new fine art gallery, Gallery 83, is holding its grand opening from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 within Summer's Boutique in Grayslake.

Michelle O'Connor, an artist herself, will oversee the gallery as curator, said owners Tina Williams and Alison Bonner. Gallery 83 is focused on supporting local artists and will feature original art by award winning artists, who will present live demonstrations and offer classes.

With the support of the Grayslake Arts Alliance, the Lake County Art League, and the City of Grayslake, the owners said they hope to work toward the common goal of bringing more art venues to the community.

Exhibiting artists will be on hand to meet gallery visitors and to discuss their work. Light refreshments will be served.

Summer's Boutique is located at 355 S. Route 83 in Grayslake.
