How to help feed hurricane, earthquake victims

Families, friends and church groups are invited to feed those in desperate need and provide critical food support in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria and the earthquakes in Mexico.

Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit organization fighting world hunger, is looking for volunteers for special meal-packing sessions in Libertyville, Aurora and Schaumburg. These special sessions on Nov. 23 and Dec. 10, 17 and 23, require a $50 donation per person or $150 per household (regularly, no donation is required). There is room for 140 volunteers in Libertyville and Aurora and 120 in Schaumburg for each of six shifts.

Reserve spots at fmsc.org/fully-invested.
