St. James Episcopal celebrates 'The English Reformation' Oct. 29

As part of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, St. James Episcopal Church, 516 Washington St. in West Dundee, will celebrate "The English Reformation" on Sunday, Oct. 29 at both 8 and 10 a.m. Masses.

All are invited to celebrate the English reformation which paralleled the Protestant reformation in Europe. The Rev. Donald Frye's sermon "Catholic and Reformed" will focus on the church embracing the best of catholic tradition and the reformed movement, and the church's authority based on scripture, tradition and reason.

St. James Episcopal Church is a historic congregation that has served Northern Kane County and the Fox River Valley for 153 years. Its mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ as they welcome, teach and serve all God's people.
