Nominate Someone for Arlington Heights Hearts of Gold Award

If you know of an outstanding teacher, neighbor, volunteer, young student, or someone who lives or works in Arlington Heights and is deserving of a special recognition for all they have done, please consider nominating them for the annual Heart of Gold Awards program sponsored by the Special Events Commission!

There are many deserving people in our community who help others, make an outstanding contribution to their organization, or put in extra effort to make a difference - these are people worthy of nomination for the "Arlington Heights Hearts of Gold" awards program. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. Thursday, November 30. It does not take long to nominate someone for this great recognition!

Nominations can be submitted online or downloaded from www.vah.com.

There are 11 award categories to choose from and if you are unable to choose a category for your nominee, the Commission will choose one they believe best pertains to the nominee.

When making your nominations, please include as much detail as possible. The Hearts of Gold program recognizes people who live or work in the Village and whose contributions have positively affected the lives of others. If you know of an "unsung hero" who has made a difference in your life or the lives of others, consider nominating them for a Heart of Gold award for appreciation of all the great work they have done.

The Hearts of Gold Award categories include: Mentor, Beautification/Environmental, Best Neighbor, Educator, Young at Heart, Young Champion, Volunteer, Community Spirit, Pam Stocking Heart of Gold, Business Leader, and Heroic. Current Village Board members and current members of the Special Events Commission are not eligible for nomination.

The Hearts of Gold Awards will be presented February 17, 2018 at Rolling Green Country Club. The event is open to anyone who wishes to pay for a reservation. For more information on attending the event or receiving a nomination form, email nkluz@vah.com or call 847-368-5104.
