Elgin's Middleby buys slicer company
The Middleby Corporation Wednesday said it acquired Globe Food Equipment Company, a slicer and mixer company catering to the commercial food service industry.
Based in Dayton, Ohio, the company has approximately $50 million in annual sales.

"The addition of the Globe product offering enhances Middleby's position for further expansion into the growing retail market segment. Additionally, through Middleby's existing customer relationships and international infrastructure we anticipate Globe can realize further growth in new markets."
The Middleby Corporation develops, manufactures, markets and services a broad line of equipment used in the commercial food service, food processing, and residential kitchen equipment industries.
