Help dogs and cats at Palatine library

Palatine Public Library District will be seeking donations for the Almost Home Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned cats and dogs, from Nov. 1 to 28.

The library asks for donations of gently used T-shirts and new dog and cat supplies, such as canned food, beds, blankets and kitty litter. On Nov. 28, tweens and teens in the library's Choose Kind Service Project will re-purpose the donated shirts into dog toys for the Almost Home Foundation. A collection bin for donated items will be in the main library lobby.
