Hoffman Estates Fire Department holding two open houses

The Hoffman Estates Fire Department will host free open houses from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on both Sunday, Oct. 15, and Saturday, Oct. 21.

The Oct. 15 open house will be held on the north side of Hoffman Estates at Fire Station 23, located at 1300 Westbury Drive. The Oct. 21 open house will be at Fire Station 21, 225 Flagstaff Lane, near Chino Park.

There will be plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy: tour the stations, meet Sparky the Fire Dog, and explore fire trucks and ambulances. The Oct. 21 event may feature a visit from a lifesaving helicopter.
